280 hp power with 347 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. The 3.6 L Petrol engine has four valves per cylinder and electronic injection. The Wrangler engine, combined with a state-of-the-art automatic or manual transmission, optimizes the engine output while on the trails or enjoying smooth, efficient power delivery at highway speeds.
Anyone who loves any terrain knows the legendary 4X4 Rock-Trac® system. Standard on the Rubicon, it guarantees more control and more torque, for superior all-terrain performance.
The Selec-Trac system on Sahara offers permanent torque management, optimal grip on slippery terrain and low-traction driving conditions such as rocks, sand, gravel, snow or ice. Thanks to its legendary 4X4 capabilities, each Wrangler model receives a “Trail Rated” badge, certifying that the vehicle has passed a series of rigorous tests in five categories: traction, fording, handling, articulation and ground clearance.
Next generation Dana 44 axles
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is equipped with front and rear Dana 44 axles to make it stand out from the crowd. The axles are beefed up with thicker tubes and forgings for superior strength, rigidity and durability.
Rock-trac® with Tru-Lok®:
Wrangler Rubicon is equipped with Tru-Lock electronic-locking differentials. The instrument panel rocker switch can activate the rear or both axels for ultimate traction.
Active Sway Bar Disconnect
This Rubicon-only system lets you automatically disengage the sway bar when driving under 18 mph in 4LO mode. It allows the front wheels to drop and compress up to 25% further to tackle the most challenging terrain.
